About Us

Welcome to Shasta Regional Medical Center. SRMC is a 246-bed community hospital centrally located in Redding, California. The Hospital offers a diverse range of services from emergency medicine, critical care, general/specialty surgery, oncology, cardiovascular, neurosciences to orthopedic care designed to meet the needs of the area.
Founded by Thomas Wyatt, M.D., in 1945 as Memorial Hospital, Shasta Regional Medical Center continues to occupy its original site in downtown Redding. As we are close to the freeway, the location is advantageous to people from throughout the North State.
Throughout the years, there have been several expansions and renovations to the Hospital’s original structure. The most recent addition includes the finalization of a 4-story patient tower, complete with a Heliport, capable of sustaining a landing of a Blackhawk helicopter.
SRMC is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, licensed by the state of California and approved for Medicare patients. |
