We would like to invite your business to participate in Redding’s biggest and longest standing tradition on Thanksgiving Day morning — SRMC’s annual Turkey Trot! As a sponsor of the SRMC’s 26th annual Turkey Trot celebration, your business will enjoy several benefits, which are listed on the attached flier.
Last year the Turkey Trot had a record year attracting more than 1,000 runners in the 6-mile run and four times as many in the 2-mile run/walk along the Sacramento River Trail. All the proceeds from the Turkey Trot, more than $30,000, were donated to Shasta Family YMCA, Girls on the Run and SWEAT Running Club.
To mark out 26th anniversary, we have activities and events planned that will build momentum and excitement up until the event and draw an even larger crowd. The proceeds from the 2011 Turkey Trot will benefit Plus ONE Mentors, Shasta Family Justice Center, Shasta Family YMCA, Girls on the Run and Redding Recreation. Shasta Regional Medical Center along with these groups can start a healthier community!
